Outline
This internship will provide a comprehensive introduction to the legal system, fundamental legal principles, and practical insights into the day-to-day operations of law. Students will engage with real-life case studies, conduct legal research, and analyze contemporary legal issues, giving them a hands-on understanding of the law.
Key Learning Outcomes:
Develop a foundational understanding of legal terminology, the structure of the judiciary, and the roles of courts, judges, lawyers, and legal professionals.
Analyze real-life case studies by examining facts, legal issues, proceedings, verdicts, and their impact on Indian law, and present findings through group presentations or written reports.
Participate in a mock courtroom session (virtual or recorded) to gain practical experience of trial procedures, courtroom etiquette, and constructing legal arguments.
Explore diverse career pathways in the field of law through guest lectures and interactive sessions with practicing lawyers, judges, and legal professionals.
Understand legal ethics and the role of law in promoting justice, equality, and social change in India.
